On Wednesday 4th September i had my eye surgery. I had my eye surgery at The Christchurch Women's Hospital. The reason i had the surgery is because i had a lazy eye, a lazy eye is were your eye goes side to side. My mum had to take me to the hospital to get it checked out a lot.
When my mum and i arrived at the hospital for my eye surgery i was really nervous. when i went in to the operation room i got even more nervous. I had to have eye drops but now i don't because my eye is better. i also got a week and 5 days off.

ReplyDeleteWow, eye surgery is not something you have everyday! I hope you are ok and feeling much better now!
Thank you for explaining what a lazy eye is. By explaining that, it made your blog post much easier to understand.
It is normal to be nervous before any kind of appointment, let alone surgery! I had to have surgery to get my appendix removed last year and I was extremely nervous to get it done. But once it was all over with I knew that what I had done was the right thing.
One week and five days off is a long time! I bet you enjoyed having a bit of a break while recovering.
Did they have to bandage up your eye after the surgery? If so, how long did you have to keep the bandage on for?
