Poly line cat

 

Today in room 22 I finished my Polyline  cat art, It took me 10-15 minutes to complete.

1. Open google drawing 

2. Choose your own photo

3. Use polyline and start drawing.

This week in room 22 we have been doing Mosaic art and I made a cat and a husky one. 

1. Open google drawing

2. Select a photo that you want.

3. use shapes to fill up the whole animal ect.

4. When you are done colour it in with lighter colours,

  For example brown- to light brown or a darker brown.

5. Get rid of the photo and hooray you just made your very own Mosaic art piece!.

Epic Science Road Show !

 

On  Wednesday 17th November Room 21 , 22 an 23 went to see the science road show.

We had a lady from the art gallery come to talk to us about the Atom. Then this man talked to us and showed us a lot of cool and interesting things.

New Zealand Olympic Shirt.

 

This is my Olympic reading task where I have to make a new Olympic shirt that represents New Zealand.

I chose the Silver fern because that is New Zealand's national plant and the kiwi because the kiwi is our national flightless bird. I also chose the New Zealand flag because it is our national flag and the yellow Kowhai flower is our national flower.

Global warming

 

For the past couple of weeks in reading my reading group have been learning about global warming.

In my slideshow their is information about what global warming is and how we can stop or slow it down.

Amazing Climate Change slide show.

For the past couple of weeks in room 22 we have been doing Climate Change.

We had to create a slideshow of the effects of climate change and what climate change does.

And what we can do to help stop climate change. 

Should kids get paid to go to school?

Children should get paid to go to school?

Do you really want your children to get paid to go to school? 

I'm going to tell you why I disagree and agree that kids should and should not get paid to go to school.

First of all I think that when kids go to school they would just go for the money and not go for all the education that they could get.

Did you know that without kids going to school the school wouldn’t be operating. 

Reasons why kids should go to school:

Kids would pay way more attention when they do their work.

Kids would like school a lot more, When kids go to school they would be more happier 

Reasons why they shouldn’t:

Once they start getting the money it would be hard for them to stop.

It encourages them to overwork.

It encourages cheating and lying.

In conclusion I strongly disagree that kids shouldn’t get paid to go to school because if they did they would spend it all in one place and all in one day.

In Room 22 we have been doing persuasive writing. We got to choose out of "should we cut down trees to build a t new theme park?" or we could choose "children should get paid to go to school". Mysterious Strange Magic. By Sophia.

Tonight was going to be a night to remember because I was going to go away from my school for a little bit, Oh!......I'm sorry I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Bella and everyone at my school fears me because I'm different to them.

Everyday at school the kids would always run away and scream “The Witch is coming!’’,  but that never stopped me from going to school, and learning new things.  Everyday after school I would go to my secret hideout and just practice my magic, it's the only time I can get some alone time and some peace and quiet.

Then I feel this raging ball of energy trying to get out of me, I try to control it but I can’t, the energy is too strong and is overpowering me. It calms down and I go back to normal.

In the end I think that it doesn't matter if I'm different or not because in reality I am the same as everyone else I just do things differently.

In the seniors we had a sailing trip that happened on Wednesday 30th March.

We went to Lake Rua and it was really really fun.

Hi my name is Sophia and this is my face split art that I have done in room 22. This took me 2-3 days to draw.  We had to do this to develop our  drawing and art skills.

How we drew the art:

We got our face printed out and then we traced over our faces on to some paper and then we shaded and drew some things that make us ourself and things that we like to do.
